# About IndiaMedHealth Source: https://indiamedhealth.com/about/ > IndiaMedHealth is a patient-coordination service, not a hospital or medical provider. Clinical decisions are made by qualified treating doctors and hospitals. [Home](https://indiamedhealth.com/) / About # About IndiaMedHealth IndiaMedHealth is built around a simple idea: international patients need a dependable person to help them navigate the healthcare journey — while medical decisions remain with qualified treating doctors and hospitals. We help patients and families organise the practical and communication side of seeking medical treatment in India. Depending on the case, this can include collecting medical reports, arranging specialist opinions, coordinating appointments, helping patients compare treatment pathways and hospital options, supporting medical-visa and travel planning, assisting during treatment, and helping maintain contact with the treating team after the patient returns home. ## What IndiaMedHealth does not do IndiaMedHealth is not a hospital, clinic, pharmacy or medical practice. We do not diagnose disease, prescribe treatment or replace the treating doctor. Clinical recommendations, risks, expected outcomes and treatment decisions remain the responsibility of appropriately qualified doctors and hospitals. ## Personal coordination [Rajat Mittal](https://indiamedhealth.com/rajat-mittal/) is a Chartered Accountant by training who now works full-time in international patient coordination. Years of working with doctors, hospitals and complex patients have given him strong practical familiarity with medical pathways, investigations, treatment planning and follow-up. He is not a doctor and does not make clinical decisions independently. His role is to understand the situation well enough to ask useful questions, coordinate appropriate opinions, communicate with treating teams and remain involved through treatment and follow-up. ## How the service is accountable Patients communicate with a named coordinator rather than an anonymous referral desk. The role is to keep reports, specialist communication, hospital planning and follow-up organised while preserving a clear boundary: medical advice comes from the treating clinicians. For examples of how this works in practice, see the [patient journeys](https://indiamedhealth.com/patient-journeys/) and the step-by-step [treatment process](https://indiamedhealth.com/treatment-process/). ## How hospital and specialist options are approached IndiaMedHealth does not describe one hospital as the right choice for every patient. The starting point is the diagnosis and the expertise and infrastructure it requires. Where useful, more than one specialist opinion can be coordinated so the patient can compare the proposed pathways before deciding. [Read how hospital options are evaluated →](https://indiamedhealth.com/hospitals-in-india/) ## Patient-first coordination International patients may be unfamiliar with the healthcare system they are entering. IndiaMedHealth aims to help them understand what is being proposed, what questions to ask and when an additional opinion may be useful. We do not promise a particular treatment, hospital, doctor or outcome. Contact: IndiaMedHealth • Gurugram, India • +91 98106 29280 • indiamedhealth@gmail.com Last reviewed: 20 September 2026.
